We're often asked, "When is the slow season at Fleur?" There are certainly some days here and there that are slower. You know, when there is a snow storm or random, biblical rain storm, but overall we like to keep our hands and feet moving and shaking. It's somehow already May (And thankfully the weather caught up with the timeline), and have had so many gorgeous things already happening!
There are a lot of exciting changes happening. Have you been by to see our new tile? You know, the tile we asked you to vote on OVER A YEAR AGO... Sigh. You always do things for yourself last. However, it was finally installed and we are in love. This is just the first phase of a lot of remodeling happening in the boutique. Think of Paris meeting Tulum and having a love child - that's where we're headed. Stop by regularly, you'll see what we mean.
We've also had a lot of classes! Terrarium building, embroidery, and our first of an annual Mother/Daughter floral design class! We were having SO much fun that we hardly remembered to snap any photos! We're already so excited for next year! Follow along our Instagram account (@Fleurinc) for updates on classes. We take a little break from them in the summer, but more are always popping up. Spoiler alert, we are currently working with an Austrian painter who will be traveling to Chicago come autumn and planning a class around her vacation. OMG we can't even being to tell you how excited we are for this!! More details will be available soon!
We've also worked more with West Elm! It is always SUCH a delight to team up with them, meeting some of the most lovely people and having a total blast in general. Thank you West Elm Chicago for hosting us!! We have a few more incredible collaborations planned with them this summer as well!
Our weddings have been gorgeous this year so far. Our retail selections are ever changing (but we always keep our staples!). More fine jewelry is on its way come late May and early June. Our one of a kind vintage items are coming back right after Mother's Day (Oh yeah, it's Mother's Day this Sunday) and our locally grown flowers provided by some of our favorite people in the world are back. It's pretty exciting around here, hope to see you soon. XO
