Rachel & Jeremy

We're really excited to share with you some photos from Rachel & Jeremy's wedding this past June at Salvage One.  This couple were so wonderful to work with.  So very laid back with a vintage and DIY theme.  The color palette is one of my current favorites, neutral and soft.  The blooms were plush and romantic.  And the day was beautiful.  Thank you to Maypole Studios for once again (as always) capturing the incredible photos!!

We really just love the creamy and neutral color palette that Rachel chose.

Doesn't she look beautiful?!

Congratulations to Rachel & Jeremy!!!

Holy Cow!

I'm sitting at home in my kitchen, taking a 2nd day off after a very long past 14 days.  May is the busiest month *ever*.  It always has been and I think always will be.  I can't help it, after the long and dreary winter I am so excited for the spring delights that start growing, I say yes to everything.  Weddings, Mother's Day, a business workshop in NY, planning a new website, changing a few behind the scenes layouts,  photo shoots, teaching classes, industry coffees (sometimes beers...) and all the rest in-between.  I have to thank Davey 100 times over for being the most supportive and wonderful man in the world with his patience and encouragement on those days I needed an extra pair of hands or just someone cheering me on when I felt like falling asleep on the work tables.  Caleb and Kaelie can't be forgotten, those two keep me laughing and create so much beauty around the boutique it's astounding.  I'm literally bubbling with excitement to share some of May's weddings with you but patience, for the photographers are editing!  In the meantime, here are some images I snapped of Allison & Joe's beautiful pink & white  peony wedding  at Harry Caray's this past Saturday.

Last October I worked with the lovely Meri on her daughter Carolyn's wedding flowers.  Before the wedding had even happened, Meri asked me to assist with the floral on her 2nd daughter's wedding the following May.  I think that is the greatest compliment, and it's always such an enjoyment to work with a wonderful family twice in one year!!   Here is Allison's bridal bouquet.  I was thrilled when they brought in their style board filled with peonies!

Kaelie added these beautiful bow treatments to the bridesmaid bouquets.

Here are all the centerpieces before we packed them up.

Footed vases always add a touch of elegance to a romantic wedding.  These clear glass one are so simple.

I'm off to the market.  I want to buy some fruit and make a berry salad, or just take a walk before the rain comes back (?!).  I love days off.

Katie & Brent

This past weekend was all kinds of crazy with 1 rehearsal dinner, 2 weddings, a bridal shower and the Macy's bouquet of the Day installation.  I'm still pouring through all my photos but have a lot of estimates and mock ups to work on right now, so here are just a few images from Katie & Brent's wedding!  Lots more coming soon of everything!  :)

This, to me, is the quintessential, springtime bridal bouquet filled with soft peonies, ranunculus, garden roses, viburnum and hydrangea.

The bridesmaid bouquets were filled with a little bit more of a punch of color.  The garden roses are gorgeous paired with viburnum, geranium foliage (one of my favorites) and some orchid florets.

Prunus branches, hydrangea and orchids filled pilsner vases for their tall guest table centerpieces.  So springy and beautiful!

Congratulations to Katie & Brent!!

Peonies and yellows and a cute, cute couple

This is Susan from Sparrow, and Robert from Mode Carpentry and Longman & Eagle.  They own businesses right around the corner from us in Logan Square and they're engaged.

Simply Jessie took all these amazing photos.

You can find more of them HERE and HERE.

And Sarah Drake Design created some paper and fabric adorableness.

We created a little sweet heart table for them at the Inn above Longman & Eagle, which Robert designed and built.  Any of my out of town friends will indeed be staying here.  In fact, I'm ready to move in.  It's fresh, simple and filled with repurposed material.  And there is a cassette desk.  Oh man, don't you remember making mix tapes??!  Mix cd's just don't cut it.

This table setting is honestly one of my favorites.  It's a bit rustic with the grape vine and birch on the table, yet filled with somewhat traditional and lush blooms.  But still modern with those amazing bitch etched wine glasses (We sell them at Fleur) and the awesome yellow chairs.  The colors.., light blue, yellow and cream are wonderful for the season as well.  I love the blue-yellow combo in general these days.

Thank you Susan & Robert and to Simply Jessie and Sarah Drake Designs for all the creativity!!
