Village Green

I so totally wore the wrong shoes today.  I knew it.  Lacing them up I just thought, "Kelly, your toes are gonna freeze today if you wear these."  Stubbornness prevailed.  Eh.., c'est la vie.  I can't complain as I'm really enjoying this morning with my cuppa tea and am sitting at Letizia's again (it seems to be a throwback to early hip hop on their stereo today and I am SO into it).  One just opened up in our darling Logan Square neighborhood, just down the street from our old location!

This morning I woke up thinking about Minnesota and how just one week ago we were driving along the outstanding Mississippi river oohing over the ice patches on the water, the flocks of sheep, the perched eagles and the darling homes.  And we bought cheese from a creamery.  Sweet, sweet, amazing Wisconsin cheese.  That we forgot to bring home.  Once again, c'est la vie.

We also did a little bit of antiquing in Redwing and Stillwater.  Always looking for another piece of pottery to add to our collection.  Last year we decided to purchase a piece of Redwing ceramics each time we visit Minnesota as a nod to Dave's roots.  Since some our favorite times spent together and with friends and family are over meals, bringing a little bit of his home and history to the table really means a lot to us.  We chose the village green line because of it's simplicity and now have another perfect little casserole dish!  You can bet on a post soon with some deliciousness and photos soon.

Antiquing, as you know, is one of my favorite things to do.  I've often mentioned that I love the search of finding something different.

Pieces are always so regional.  And sometimes just so off the wall.

And sometimes things are just arranged in such a pretty manner.

And there are countless ideas for weddings in these places.   Vintage weddings, modern weddings, organic weddings...there is something for every style.  My personal vintage collection that we use for weddings is ridiculous and huge and I LOVE it.  You'll be seeing a lot of it this year.  Oh wow, do we have some incredible things planned.
