Kate & Mike

We couldn't have been happier with our very first wedding of 2013, from the location to the floral selection and most importantly, the wonderful couple themselves!  Working with Kate and her mother on all the details was so much fun, and the end result was warm, romantic and absolutely beautiful.  Also, it was wonderful to be able to work with

Anna Guziak Photography, whose work is absolutely lovely!   You'll be seeing more of her work shortly, as we had the honor of her to photograph two of our weddings in a row!!

Congratulations to Kate & Mike!!!  Thank you so much for choosing us to be the florist at your dreamy, Salvage One wedding!!

A film by XO Pictures of Emily & Cameron

You may remember theses images from last year.  Caleb designed this beautiful wedding at Salvage One (One of our top three favorite venues in Chicago).

Just today we saw the incredible film created by the wonderfully talented couple behind

XO Pictures, Tom & Jenny.  You can watch it right HERE!!! We love this couple.  They're sweet, they're sassy, they're adorable and they're in love.  To us, that also means they're a prefect match for your wedding day.

This wedding was so very beautiful, planned by Five Grain Events. Always flawless and always wonderful to work with.

Vintage, blue mason jars, mercury glass and oodles of candles.

Thank you so much to XO Pictures for the amazing video!! And once again, congratulations to Emily & Cameron!

Ali & Patrick

We wanted to share with you some jewel toned centerpieces from a wedding this past October at Salvage One.  With Thanksgiving just two days away, we thought you would appreciate the palette!

The milk glass vessels and the wooded tables made the floral just dance off the tables!  The flowers are so vibrant and sweet with a little bit of whimsy!

And we thought you definitely needed to see this adorable little boutonniere!  Buttons!  Oh lordy, cute as a button!

Thank you so much to Katharine from Greatest Expectations for bringing Ali & Patrick to us!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!  We hope you enjoy a peaceful and delicious holiday, surrounded with laughter and sincerity.

P.S. We're always closed the day after Thanksgiving, so our staff can enjoy one more day of friends & family!  Wednesday, the 23rd we'll be here until 7:00pm, fixin' up some pretty mums and garden roses and berries for your tables.

Salvaging

Caleb recently designed this beautiful wedding.

Planned with Joan from Five Grain Events & located at Salvage One, it was one of those weddings we just so enjoy working on.  Dreamy bridal bouquets filled with garden roses, dahlias and dusty miller.  Texture mixed among soft blooms for the bridesmaids.    They're all so lovely!  Enjoy!!

Rachel & Jeremy

We're really excited to share with you some photos from Rachel & Jeremy's wedding this past June at Salvage One.  This couple were so wonderful to work with.  So very laid back with a vintage and DIY theme.  The color palette is one of my current favorites, neutral and soft.  The blooms were plush and romantic.  And the day was beautiful.  Thank you to Maypole Studios for once again (as always) capturing the incredible photos!!

We really just love the creamy and neutral color palette that Rachel chose.

Doesn't she look beautiful?!

Congratulations to Rachel & Jeremy!!!

Wedding brunch style shoot

Oh, finally!  I have been waiting just shy of a month to share this shoot with you!!  Suzy Rohan from Lily Red StudioJaclyn Simpson and myself worked on a style shoot at Salvage One for Elizabeth Anne Designs.  You can see so many additional photos of this right HERE.  If you love it, post a little comment on the EAD page telling us your thoughts.  That counts as a vote for us because this is actually a contest!  :)  Oh, and check in a few weeks The Sweetest Occasion for more images!!

Megan and Aaron

Occasionally there are those weddings where everything really comes together just absolutely perfect.  Megan and Aaron's wedding falls into that definition.  This couple, bubbly and adorable, created the most fantastic garden party themed wedding you can imagine at one of my all time favorite wedding venues in Chicago, Salvage One.

If you don't believe how fun this wedding was, you can take a peek at Style Me Pretty's little write up about it from this past weekend.  That can be found here.   The flowers were beautiful, the perfect weather, the gorgeous heirloom chuppah and as an added bonus, I worked with Sara from Five Grain Events.  Enjoy these beautiful photos by Laura Witherow!

Megan's bouquet featured gloriosa lilies, garden roses, peonies, nerine lilies and phalaenopsis orchid florets.  Stems were hand tied and bound with ivory ribbon finished with a criss cross of pink organza and pearl pins.

And the bridesmaids carried roses, peonies & waxflower.

The ceremony was held in the back patio of Salvage One, where the couple was surrounded by a moat of blooms.

Sometimes there is nothing I like more than a beautiful Chicago wedding.

Make sure you check out the rest of the photos at Style Me Pretty!

Congratulations to Megan and Aaron!!
