Gina & Lawrence

This has been a truly fabulous year for the peony.  I'm really excited to share with you these beautiful photographs from Nancy at David Wittig Photography .  I was so excited to hear they were shooting the wedding, it had been years since we worked together and I am a big fan!  Enjoy the flowers from Gina & Lawrence's wedding, this past April!

Gina carried a beautiful cluster of pale pink and ivory peonies with sweet pea and orchids mixed in.  It is such a delicate and romantic look!

The bridesmaid bouquet popped with a little more pink and we added in some garden roses & ranunculus.

And then they were reused on the head table, and placed into our mercury glass cylinder vases.

Her all arrangements featured bleached manzanita branches adorned with pink cymbidium orchids, placed inside larger mercury glass urns.

And the lows were plush arrangements inside footed mercury glass vases.

Hotel 71 hosted the reception in their incredible panoramic room on the 39th floor.  I just love being up in this space, the city seems so quiet and so beautiful.  We also worked with Melissa from Clementine Events.  It was our first event together and I'm looking so forward to more!  Overall the day was simply beautiful!

Congratulations so much to Gina & Lawrence!

Dear Wedding Colleague...

Some of you may have already heard that a few months ago Joan Cinquegrani invited me to co-host a wedding industry networking group with her.  June 30th we launched Thursday Therapy Chicago!  Held on the 39th floor of Hotel 71 , just about 100 wedding colleagues came together to meet, mingle, network and enjoy the outstanding panoramic view.  You can see lots of images of our old & new wedding friends at the Thursday Therapy Blog.  This is a monthly networking series, featuring a new venue, florist and photographer each event.  Since this was the launch, Fleur provided the blooms.  Here are some of the images that the wonderfully talented Jaclyn Simpson captured of our arrangement.

Such a wonderful night!  This was also, as some of you may remember, the night of the incredibly intense hail storm that hit Chicago's streets.  We watched the clouds change color and shape, what an extra treat!  If you're a part of the wedding industry and interested in attending, feel free to sign up on the email list!  There's no catch, we're just excited to be promoting meeting, mingling and sharing within our amazing community!
