Julie & Laura

Julie and Laura we're one of the most fun couples to work with.  Dealing with some pretty intense floral allergies, we curated a list of blooms that were bright, textural and not likely to make anyone sneeze or break into hives (Truly not a good look on a wedding day).  The result was happy, modern and glowing!  Greatest Expectations coordinated a wonderful team including Steve Koo Photography, Courtney Callahan Paper & Ignite Glass Studios.

Cheers!

Dave & Kelly Marie

Last June I married the most incredible man at Camp Wandawega in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. It's kind of mind boggling to think that it was almost a year ago, because I can remember every single moment so very clearly.  I can't thank our friends and family enough for all their love and hard work.  After planning our wedding I have an entirely new love for my clients, I want them all to share the same joy that we did on June 1st.  Here are a few images from the wedding, our photographers Jaclyn Simpson and Jennifer Kathryn were absolutely amazing.

Vintage Glam

Caleb designed a stunning wedding this past August, and it was just featured today on Elizabeth Anne Designs! Click HERE to see all the *amazing* photos from Braxton of Jeremy Lawson Photography.

(We love those bridesmaid dresses!!!)

Below are some photos that we took (Not nearly as lovely, and some are a bit blurry) of the prep & day of the wedding.  Let me tell you, this wedding day was one going down in the books.  As soon as we finished loading up the van, the sky turned black and a monsoon came down upon us.  Streets flooded and viaducts were impossible to navigate around, but we made it.  The Fleur team was out of sight this day, and I'm still so proud of them all when I think back to it.

This wedding was an enchanted garden.  A mid-summer night's dream.  Trailing amaranthus & jasmine.  Garden roses and three varieties of hydrangea.  Lovely pops of coral tucked among sage and ivory.

When I look at Brittany's bridal bouquet, I think it belongs in a secret garden.  The kind where giraffes and gazelles walk around in lovely suits and gowns, sipping tea and nibbling crumpets.  Of course, they're wearing top hats & bonnets, with hand gloves & canes.

Floral details were everywhere.

The ceremony was dramatic with candles on the floor, candleabras atop pillars  & hanging votives at the entrance to the aisle.

And then there were the centerpieces.  Crystals, mercury glass, pillar candles, crystal cut glass vases, all adding sparkle & shimmer to the decadent floral design.

They used mix-matched wine, water & champagne glasses on the tables, which looked even more stunning.  We wouldn't mind having a few of those at our own dining room table.

There were three styles of arrangements, all surrounded by vintage and mercury glass vases.  The blooms included dusty miller, charming babe spray roses, Juliette garden roses, astrantia and more.

(I think this one, above & below, is my favorite style of them all)

Thank you so much to Caleb for designing everything so beautifully!  To Greatest Expectations for coming on board and making everything run smoothly and perfect, J & L Catering for the beautiful table settings & Architectural Artifacts for just being so good looking!

Lesley & Matt

This past September I worked with a lovely couple, brought to us by Greatest Expectations.  The apricot, peach palette with a touch of coral & pale blue are so soothing and warm, and the fabulous Jennifer Kathryn caught all the wonderful moments of the day.  You can see lots of more of the amazing images from the day at Elizabeth Anne Designs!!!  Thank you so much for featuring us, and thank you to such an incredible team!!

Congratulations to Lesley & Matt!!!!

jonquils and cats.

Enjoy these pretty jonquils that Caleb just used in a delivery.  Even though the air is brisk this fine, Sunday afternoon, it's absolutely gorgeous out!  I'm really in a wonderful mood, perhaps because this is my fake Friday.  Finishing up the week's estimates and proposals and updates after a truly sweet wedding yesterday (working with the ever lovely Greatest Expectations team, and eagerly awaiting the photos from Simply Jessie who has taunted me with a text of how beautiful the images are!) I am incredibly excited to share some birthday wishes with a dear friend, Amanda.  Happy birthday Amanda!!! (we also designed the floral decor for her and Billy's Vegas wedding just shy of a year ago!).  And..., being Sunday and fake Friday and all that goodness, it's my evening to spend with my Mr Wonderful.  He's been working hard stripping our dining room chairs and I think it's time to take a break and enjoy some time together.  :)  Hope you're all enjoying a gorgeous afternoon, and see you on Tuesday!

xo

P.S.  here is a photo of our Bootleg, who also has been soaking up the rays of sunshine in little patches throughout our apartment.  Boots, you've come a long, long way.  Remember when we used to call you Little Ugly?  You're still sometimes a jerk, but also crazy awesome.

The 11-11-11 Wedding Giveaway!!!!

Remember a year ago when we told you all about that amazing 11-11 wedding giveaway?  Greatest Expectations are so wonderful to once again offer this amazing opportunity, and there isn't a lot of time left to enter!  You can see the details HERE!

~~~
This is a truly special giveaway.  Your dress, catering, venue, cake and *flowers* are all provided.  And so much more.  And even though it's all part of the giveaway, we still want you to customize the look and feel of the day so it represents *your* vision!  In case you don't know what we mean, see for yourself!  Below are some images Amanda Hein took from last year's wedding.
The bride (also named Amanda!) loved purple and we included vanda orchids in her bridal bouquet, among anemones, privet and brunia.
Also a few polo roses added in among dusty miller.
~~~

I love these nora blue mokara orchid boutonnieres.  Fishing flies were added onto them for a personal touch.

~~~
Who wouldn't want Amanda Hein to photograph their wedding?!  These images are just dreamy!
Yes, even the dress & tux are part of this contest.  Amanda picked out a gown that looks drop dead gorgeous!
Oh!  And the bridesmaid's dresses.  Yup.  Included as well!
Our vintage blue mason jars lined the aisle atop pillars and Amanda & Mike were wed under a romantic and beautiful floral wreath.
~~~

~~~
And we provided the window frame chalk boards that displayed not only the menu, but the most important message of all:
Once again, congratulations to Amanda & Mike on their 11-11 wedding!  Don't forget to enter HERE.  Entries will no longer be taken place after April 15th!
Good Luck!!!!
Wedding Giveaway!
In case I haven't reminded you enough about this absolutely amazing and wonderful event, we're part of an incredible 60K wedding giveaway!!!! Sponsored by Greatest Expectations we're working with some of the most talented peeps in the industry!  Amanda Hein Photography, Jenny Yoo, Magnificent Milestones and SO many more!!
Christine & Tyler
This wedding was so beautiful and s i m p l e.  The colors were perfect for a dull and chilly Chicago month of March.  Heather and her team at Greatest Expectations, as usual, were amazing to work with.  The venue, The Chicago History Museum is gorgeous and classy, and Sno Studios were there to catch it all.  Of course, I am crazy about the anemones in the bridesmaid's bouquets!  But the blossoming branches for the candy table and ceremony pieces are kinda amazing too!
