It was a thrill to once again be a part of Near North Montessori's fundraiser for financial aid. We love giving back, and especially to a wonderful school, helping kids who otherwise could not afford to attend. Held at Salvage One (One of our favorite locations), it was truly a beautiful evening! Here are just a few snaps we took of the evening. The palette of gold, champagne and silver is definitely one of our favorites. Enjoy!
"I will feel a glow just thinking about you, & the way you look tonight."
This past September we had celebrated a beautiful wedding at Room 1520 with Urban Allure Events. The mother of the bride had impeccable taste, curating candles and garlands across the ceremony and reception. Soft blush, champagne, ivory and sage accented the glow and heavy foliage & Todd James Photography captured everything as if you were inside a dream. Also, the greenery backdrop and draping from Art of Imagination could not have been more perfect! Such a beautiful wedding that we adore!
We were completely honored to be asked to participate in the launch of BBJ'S Marble Linen Collection. Here are a few images from it. The linens are truly amazing - textured and very versatile, absolutely a statement for your event. Enjoy!
May is always bursting with some of our favorite flowers, which made for the truly perfect design backdrop when the theme is Monet's gardens. This lush and lovely wedding designed by one our our lead designers, Janessa, came straight out of a painting. The Redfield Estate couldn't have been a more perfect location, and we were thrilled to work with Clementine Events. Gerber & Scarpelli captured all these perfect images!
It's been a month since we've posted, & that's just a small indication of all the amazing designs we were working on throughout the month of May! The professional photos are beginning to roll in, and we're starting off the season with these romantic images from Sarah Postma Photography. This gorgeous wedding at the Union League Club was classic and filled with spring blooms. We couldn't have been happier with such a sweet kick off to the wedding season!
We were so excited to work with Emma and Scott on their wedding this past August. The flowers were soft and romantic, timeless and elegant. All some of our favorite adjectives! And the team was absolutely amazing to no end! Tying the Knot, Entertaining Company, The Bridgeport Art Center Skyline Loft & the amazing photos from T & S Hughes Photography!
The Chicago History Museum is one of the most beautiful location in the city for a wedding. Every time we work at this location we are so excited! Here are some images from a beautiful wedding in April.
This past May we worked on such a beautiful wedding in the palette of blue. Hosted at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the arrangements reflected wild gardens full of plush garden roses and peonies. Thrilled to partner with Shannon Gail Weddings, we loved every single detail of this day. Hanging branches filled with foliage, sweet wreaths, and the most wonderful families. Enjoy the beautiful photos from T & S Hughes Photography!
Last November was one of our favorite weddings. Reception held at the Langham Hotel, the palette was elegant, soft and approachable. The dreamy and exquisite photos from Clary Pfeiffer capture the day perfectly! A huge congratulations to Caroline and Brian!

May brings on the onslaught of the wedding season. So sadly my blogging falls a little behind as I place orders for weddings 2 weeks to a month out, contact all our couples to finalize details, count votive candles, clean out the vases from storage, wash them & put them back after use, meet with new clients, write proposals for a year out and sometimes send those proposals out a little later than anticipated (which I apologize to those of you whom have recently waited a little longer for a proposal from me). Thankfully my team is amazing and so strong and witty and hard working and I could never do this without them. This is going to be our strongest season to date !
And to those of you who come visit me in the boutique, and I stay in our production area with just a quick hello, I promise I will be social again one day (just not while I'm designing someone's wedding flowers). Thank you for not judging me as anti-social. XO
Here are a few images of an arrangement from a few months back that I absolutely fell in love with & took a bazillion photos of. Enjoy! And now at 6am I will drink my coffee and start my day writing a lovely proposal for a sweet couple we met with this week.
