Emily & Tim at Architectural Artifacts

This past April we were so excited to team up with LK Events for a beautiful and glowing wedding at Architectural Artifacts (coordinated by Artifact Events). This was one of those beautiful weddings when you're so excited during the planning phase.  You can picture the glow, you can see the floral, it's unique but still an incredibly classic Chicago wedding.  These kinds of weddings will never go out of date (Which is one of our goals!).  Taking place in the Ravenswood neighborhood inside the walls of a what feels like the best museum ever (Except that EVERYTHING IS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE) it is a curio collection that always feels special and important.  Thank you to Emily and Tim for trusting the Fleur Team to be part of such a beautiful day.  We're thrilled to share these beautiful images captured by Olivia Leigh Photographie!

(We love those bridesmaid dresses!!!)

Below are some photos that we took (Not nearly as lovely, and some are a bit blurry) of the prep & day of the wedding.  Let me tell you, this wedding day was one going down in the books.  As soon as we finished loading up the van, the sky turned black and a monsoon came down upon us.  Streets flooded and viaducts were impossible to navigate around, but we made it.  The Fleur team was out of sight this day, and I'm still so proud of them all when I think back to it.

This wedding was an enchanted garden.  A mid-summer night's dream.  Trailing amaranthus & jasmine.  Garden roses and three varieties of hydrangea.  Lovely pops of coral tucked among sage and ivory.

When I look at Brittany's bridal bouquet, I think it belongs in a secret garden.  The kind where giraffes and gazelles walk around in lovely suits and gowns, sipping tea and nibbling crumpets.  Of course, they're wearing top hats & bonnets, with hand gloves & canes.

Floral details were everywhere.

The ceremony was dramatic with candles on the floor, candleabras atop pillars  & hanging votives at the entrance to the aisle.

And then there were the centerpieces.  Crystals, mercury glass, pillar candles, crystal cut glass vases, all adding sparkle & shimmer to the decadent floral design.

They used mix-matched wine, water & champagne glasses on the tables, which looked even more stunning.  We wouldn't mind having a few of those at our own dining room table.

There were three styles of arrangements, all surrounded by vintage and mercury glass vases.  The blooms included dusty miller, charming babe spray roses, Juliette garden roses, astrantia and more.

(I think this one, above & below, is my favorite style of them all)

Thank you so much to Caleb for designing everything so beautifully!  To Greatest Expectations for coming on board and making everything run smoothly and perfect, J & L Catering for the beautiful table settings & Architectural Artifacts for just being so good looking!
