We were pretty excited when BHLDN reached out to us asking for a beautiful floral wall to act as a backdrop for their 2018 gown launch! Personally, we think floral walls are the only kind that should be built!

This past January we held our first watercolor and floral design class in the boutique! This unique session taught the basics of floral design by our lead designer, Janessa, followed up with the sweetest watercolor instruction by Cindy Phelan. Not only did you take home your arrangements of flowers, you had a life long version of them as well. We loved this class, because partnering with other creatives is beyond exciting, and passing on our tricks of the trade and meeting such brilliant students is rewarding to no end! Also, many hugs and thanks to the incredible Jennifer Kathryn Photography who took these photos. It was nearly impossible to choose which ones to post!
(PS Cindy takes custom orders, a beautiful way to remember your wedding bouquet!)
Have you signed up our Dutch Masters class yet? Read more about that floral experience HERE!

Just about a month ago (when the weather was significantly warmer), I was invited by my friend Amanda Jane Jones to participate in the Kinfolk Gathering dinner at Camp Wandawega. Of course I said yes. Dinner at my favorite place in the world, and the chef happened to be Jason Hammel from Lula Cafe. It was an incredible night! Here are just a few images, but check out the amazing recap from Wandawega right HERE!
But first, check out this amazing video of the night from Richard Original right in

Occasionally we have opportunities to step out of our brick & mortar shop and partner with the sweetest and most talented of people. When Amanda Jane Jones asked if I would be interested in partnering with her at Anthropologie to teach floral crown making, of course I said yes! Meeting so many lovely people interested in learning a fun craft is simply too much fun! In addition I met the sweetest lady, Anna Zajac who is responsible for capture this lovely morning workshop. Here are a few photos she took, but be sure to check out her blog for the rest of them, right HERE!
Although mentioned many times before, I adore my job. It's never the same, each week brings so many new challenges and experiences that are rewarding and inspiring. These experiences teach me new concepts about design and at the end the day are simply fun. When Amanda Jane Jones asked if I would be interested in teaching another class in collaboration with Kinfolk & West Elm, I was thrilled! Spending an evening meeting so many talented people who have now become friends, working with fragrant foliages on a cold winter day, and watching everyone create organic pieces of art for their homes was wonderful. Thank you to all our inspiring attendees, I am honored to have spent such a wonderful time getting to know you!! Please enjoy these photos from Jaclyn Simpson Photography!
One of my favorite things about my job is having the opportunity to partner with people whom I admire. When Amanda Jane Jones reached out to me in regards to teaching a class at West Elm for Kinfolk, I was elated. To my surprise & excitement, she had also contacted a dear friend of mine, Sara Gasbarra of Verdura. Sara taught the delicious task of making seasoned salt, and I showed guests how to make a little herb wreath with garden clippings or fresh herbs from the farmer's market. The adorable Alex Steele documented the evening for us all. Oh, and we can't forget that the most delicious treats were made with love from Floriole Bakery & Cafe. The absolute best part of this little class was meeting the most delightful part about this evening? The guests! I can't talk about the attendees enough! Our attendees are what made the night so special and fun. I loved meeting everyone and listening to their stories, their backgrounds, and I am thrilled to have kept in touch with so many of them! Did you miss the class? Well no worries, because we have another planned for February 27th, with plenty of details to come. Enjoy these photos, and can't wait to see you next time!
