Margaret & Jake

What can be more gorgeous than elegant orchids?  Orchids that spill over in bouquets and candelabra centerpieces.  Fashionably combined palettes of navy and fuchsia and purple.  A little bit of fantasy meets a little bit of old school Chicago.  That's where Margaret & Jake's wedding comes in.

I simply love phalaenopsis orchids.  As bouts, centerpieces, bridal bouquets.  They are something special and something quite grand.  And they know it.

This color combination is absolutely perfect for the Union League Club.  Navy blue accents with fuchsia and white.  The bridesmaids carried clusters of stock, orchids and looped flax leaves.

Margaret carried a stunning bouquet dripping with phalaenopsis, dendrobium and cattleya orchids.

The head table was set with dramatic candelabras flanking the bridal party.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed making them!

And the tall guest table centerpieces were laden with orchids and hanging votive candles, set atop monstera foliage for a completed touch.

Also, notice an orchid floret sat on each menu card, distributing color across the table.

Amanda Hein really captured the beauty of these arrangements and Ali Phillips was there to coordinate it all into a stunning day!

And the low centerpieces featured lush blooms of color surrounding a floating candle.

Congratulations to Margaret & Jake, our wonderful neighbors!!!
