Blueberry crisp

To welcome Davey back home from a short visit
back to Minnesota, I decided to surprise him with
a blueberry crisp.
The blueberries are from Michigan (where I spent
a large portion of my childhood during the
summers) and are just now starting to come into season!
I don't fancy myself a baker, rather cooking is my deal.
But every now and then the urge overcomes me and I
have to rush to the market on the corner because
there is no flour in the jar, or somehow our sugar bowl
is empty.
But on warm summer nights like this, it certainly comes in handy
to have a cold bowl of blueberry crisp and
some ice cream on top
