Aromatherapy for the bridal bouquet.

Late summer goodness.  Colors  and textures are inspiring me left and right, things are starting to become exciting around here.  They always are, but when seasons change and you become aware sunset beginning earlier, and the earth’s palette is fading from vibrance to soft peaches, chocolates, creams.  Muted, peaceful colors pop out.  Would you think I’m odd if I told you that color gives me goosebumps?  I hear lavender, I  taste ochre,  my nose recognizes the fragrance.  So you might understand why I have been gushing all day at these.  Oh gosh, this bouquet is too much.  And that teal ribbon.  Between the geranium, lavender, fresh basil blooms, garden roses and the gorgeous color palette, this fragrant bridal bouquet speaks to me on so many levels.  Holding it was so peaceful, mostly because of its scent.

I’m in a really great mood today.  Maybe that’s why I’m so in love with it.  All day I’ve been thinking about blue mason jars hanging in trees & glowing at dusk.  And picnic blankets surrounded by wildflowers and delicious sandwiches wrapped in wax paper and twine.  And fireflies and dusk and books and wondering what my cats are thinking when they blink at me.

Such a gorgeously romantic bouquet – the colors do remind me of a sunset now that you mention it!

  2. That’s fantastic! I would LOVE an aromatic bouquet…would it be weird to order a bouquet just to carry around to my daily appointments?

Maybe a little lavender sachet in your purse?! :)
