This was the beach, it rained, but I didn’t mind. That moody, ominous kind of look is always kind of awesome, especially because the inn was haunted!
These feathers were amazing! I so wanted to make boutonniere’s out of them, but alas, I left them for nature’s demise.

Oh wow, it has been a whirling dervish kind of week! I spent some time in Michigan, antiquing and reading the Smithsonian. An article discussing temple paintings based on Kashmiri textiles in particular caught my attention (textiles are a not-so-secret obsession of mine). Even though it is spring, the richness and density of the colors always grab me. I can’t help but think about dahlias the color of saris!
But anyway, I have been BUSY. And this weekend it’s getting crazier! I’m hoping to snap photos of all of it (we *r e a l l y* need better light in the storefront!).

I’m off to michigan for two nights! I’m driving up north with my parents for a little getaway before the wedding craziness comes along next weekend. We’re gonna antique and eat donuts and walk around Lake Michigan’s shore and I will share photos and the fun with you! But here are some things to think about while I am gone!
The most perfect little ranunculus.
And some really delicious crepes from The French Market (Davey and I ate there last Saturday!)

And a pretty bouquet. Blue feels right today.

And oh yes, Bootleg & Tippie June <3

This wedding was so beautiful and s i m p l e. The colors were perfect for a dull and chilly Chicago month of March. Heather and her team at Greatest Expectations, as usual, were amazing to work with. The venue, The Chicago History Museum is gorgeous and classy, and Sno Studios were there to catch it all. Of course, I am crazy about the anemones in the bridesmaid’s bouquets! But the blossoming branches for the candy table and ceremony pieces are kinda amazing too!
